The Colorado Avalanche took a 1-0 lead in the Stanley Cup Finals on Wednesday night, defeating the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-3 in overtime. Cale Makar scored the game-winning goal just 1:22 into the extra period.
The Lightning will look to tie the series in Game 2 on Saturday night. Puck drop is set for 8 p.m. ET.
The Avalanche are now 4-0 in overtime games this postseason, while the Lightning are 0-3. Colorado also has a 5-0 record at home in the playoffs, while Tampa Bay is 4-1 on the road.
